Our story
Mise started with a shared frustration: the hardest part of cooking isn't the cooking. It's the deciding, the remembering, the list-making — the quiet logistics that turn a good idea into a weeknight chore. We thought a good kitchen companion should carry that part for you.
Not project management. Most of us don't need another recipe — we have thousands bookmarked. We need help with the part around the recipe: what fits tonight, what's already in the fridge, what the household will actually eat, and what to grab at the store.
Mise is built around memory. It learns your kitchen the way a good friend would — your allergies, your tools, your Tuesday-night energy levels — and uses that to make every suggestion feel like it was made for you, because it was.
Your preferences and data belong to you. We don't sell them. Ever.
Every feature earns its place by removing a step, not adding one.
We sweat the small stuff so dinner feels considered, not generated.
