Our story

We got tired of
asking "what's for
dinner?"

Mise started with a familiar frustration: the hardest part of cooking isn't the cooking. It's the deciding, the remembering, the list-making — the quiet logistics that turn a good idea into a weeknight chore. The idea was simple: a good kitchen companion should carry that part for you.

Why we
built it

Cooking should feel like cooking.

Dinner shouldn't feel like a chore. Some nights that means finding a new recipe; other nights it means returning to an old favorite. Either way, Mise helps with everything around it: what fits tonight, what's already in the fridge, what the kids will actually eat, and what to grab at the store.

Mise is built around memory. It remembers the practical details of your kitchen: your allergies, your tools, even your Tuesday-night energy levels. That context helps it make suggestions that fit how your household actually cooks.

The principles behind Mise

Private by default

Your kitchen is yours

Your preferences and data belong to you. We don't sell them. Ever.

Fewer steps

Less friction, more food

Every feature earns its place by removing a step, not adding one.

Considered output

Made with taste

We sweat the small stuff so dinner feels considered, not generated.
